i laid restless, will i be a part of the future you've spun?

so, i decided to bring you flowers– the wildest 
to crown your head. 

i waded through pokeweed thick and ambrosia.
a daisy between me and fate-
he loves me.
he loves me not.

i baptized my sins in muddy waters,

do you remember that brisk November morn when
your silence roared louder than hate's cruel words?
time's river flowed silently.

the bells of justice rang and you,

i adorned you with blossoms,
